Si è venuti a conosceza dell'esistenza di questa traccia solo il 26 Giugno 2009, data in cui su eBay è stato venduto al prezzo di 1,125.20 $ l'EP contente questa canzone e versioni alternative di altre demo. Il cd è antecedente ad Hybrid Theory EP.
Gli Hybrid Theory registrarono questa traccia nel 1999, durante la creazione di Hybrid Theory, ma essa non è stata mai inserita in un album e mai rilasciata dalla band. Mike sostiene che per ragioni legali non può dirci altro riguardo questa canzone.
La canzone ha inoltre dei campionamenti della canzone 'B-Boy Document '99' di Mos Def, Mad Skillz e High and Mighty, ed è stata rilasciata nell'estate del 1999.
She Couldn't va contro un sacco di stereotipi in materia del primo materiale Hybrid Theory/Linkin Park.
1) la canzone dura oltre 5 minuti e dispone di un esteso apice strumentale.
2) è una delle canzoni più soft che la band abbia prodotto, in particolare per quei tempi.
Come già detto, si tratta di un caso estremamente raro di una canzone dei Linkin Park che contiene campionamenti di musica di un altro artista (che può essere parte della ragione per cui questo progetto è stato abbandonato così presto e nessuno di noi l'aveva mai sentita fino ad ora).
